Quinoa, the Grain of the Gods.

This article is going to inform you about what I would consider the absolute best choice, when it comes to grains. Quinoa, which is a species of Goosefoot (Chenopodium). Quinoa, is a grain-like crop which produces edible seeds, which are surprisingly nutritious. Quinoa has been croppped for thousands of years in its natural habitat in South America, it was a staple in the diet of the Andean people, and actually goes back as far as the Mayans. The Mayans called this grain the Grain of the Gods, it has also been dubbed, the Gold of the incas, and these terms match it well. This grain is packed full of nutrients, and is a grain that has a full spectrum protein. Meaning it contains all of the amino acids needed by the human body, similar to meat. It is also a great source of phosphorus, magnesium and iron.

Quinoa is a perfect substitute for rice or pasta, it, like all other grains, is full of carbohydrates, but as mentioned above, it has a full spectrum protein aswell, which is hard to find in any other food. It has a pleasant nutty flavor, and can be used in all kinds of recipes. Its also easily digestable and is easy to store, and can last up to a year without spoiling. In fact its offers such a great variety of attributes that it is being considered as one of the crops for NASA's Controlled Ecological Life Support System for long-duration manned spaceflights. If you are looking for something to change it up in your diet, and are tired of the same old pasta and rice combos, I suggest you give this a try, you wont be let down.

A Secret Weapon of FAT Destruction!!

I want to take the time to tell you guys about a secret weapon in the diet field, often overlooked for its amazing health benefits, and more importantly, its ability to burn fat. Im talking about Coconut Oil, which is somewhat of a common oil used in the culinary arts. Coconut oil, which comes from the Cocus Nucifera, or the coconut Palm, is packed with nutrients, and can be used for almost anything, it is extremelly versatile, and is underrated in the diet field. The health benefits of this oil include hair care, skin care, weight loss, digestion, increased immunity strength, lowers cholesterol, helps prevent all kinds of disease, bone strength, and heart disease. It has been used  in the tropics for thousands of years as a main source of dietary fats, and I personally think that everyone should have this as a staple in their diet, it truly is a miraculous food.

Coconut oil is more than 90% saturated fats, and because of this, its often seen as something that isnt good for weight loss or heart health, however its actually the opposite. coconut oil is mostly lauric acid (around 50%) which is very good for preventing heart disease and lowering cholesterol levels. Its also very good for weight loss, as its composed of short and medium-chain fatty acids, which help take off fat. If you go down to the tropics, where coconut oil is used regularily, you will notice that there are very few fat or obese people. There is a whole host of other uses for coconut oil aswell as just a dietary cooking oil, or something you lick off the end of a spoon. Coconut oil can be used as a hair care supplement, it is extremelly healthy for the hair and will help promote that healthy shine, it acts as a natural moisturizer for all types of skin. It has antioxidant properties and helps in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases. It will also repair damaged tissue, for example if you put it on a cut or bruise, it would help heal it faster.

So if you are looking for something to help kick start your weight loss, and something that you can make a staple part of your diet, look no further, because this stuff is what your looking for. It is commonly used among athletes and bodybuilders as a cooking oil and energy optimizer, it has lower calories than other oils, it is full of more nutrients and and it tastes alot better to.
